Hi and Happy New Year everyone,

Here’s some lodging options for you to consider for the GTG.

I’ve reserved a block of 10 rooms at the Super 8 in La Crosse, 5 singles and 5 doubles for now. The Rates will be: $65/night for a Single Queen and $75/night for a Double Queen. Super 8 offers a 24hr. pool/whrilpool, free breakfast and fitness center to mention a few. The phone number is: (608)781-8880. ***Be sure to mention that you’re coming for the In-Depth Outdoors Get Together*** ** These rates are being held for us until Jan. 21, 2013.**

Best Western in La Crosse, will give us a Flat Rate of $89.99/night and they also have a Pool/whirlpool plus a Mini Water park. They currently have 32 rooms available for us, of which 7 are Singles and 25 Doubles. River Jack’s Restaurant and Lounge is right in the same building, too. Very good food! Their number is: (608)781-7000. ** These rates are being held for us until Jan. 21, 2013.**

These 2 are right near the Interstate and 10 minutes from where we’ll have the tent set-up. Also, there’s plenty of reasonably priced restaurants with great food, nearby both. **Out of these 2, please make the Super 8 the first choice. Seeing how they’re willing to give us a block rate for our event and the management and staff are more friendly, customer oriented and more accommmodating. **Just another note. Best Western doesn’t have/offer the free breakfast on weekends.**

**Now for a few Mom N Pop places. Nothing fancy, but they’ll keep you warm and dry. These are all located in Onalaska.**

1)Edgewater Motel: which is located right across the highway from the road that goes down to where our base will be. There’s Only 2 rooms available! The Rates Are: $40 for a single and $50 for 2 people. Their Number is:(608)783-2286.

    2) Lake Motel: which is located right across the highway from Lake Onalaska. Right now, they only have 2 rooms available. But, possibly more by the weekend of the GTG. The Rates Are; $39.99/single/per night, $49.99 for 2/night and $59.99 for 3/night. Their Number is:(608)783-3348 or (608)385-2808.

3)Onalaska Inn: They have 9 rooms available. The Rates Are: $49 for a Single/night and $59 for 2/night. Their number is:(608)783-2270.

4)Shadow Run Motel: which is also located right across the highway from the lake. The Rates Are:$39.99 for a single/night, $59.99 for 2/night and $69.99 for 3/night. Their Number is:(608)783-0020 or 1-800-566-0798

Just a little FYI on the Mom N Pop places. These are all used a lot by many fishermen/women, throughout the year. A lot of the tournament anglers stay at these, too.

Hope this helps. Plan on coming and having a great time! Looking forward to meeting and seeing you all! If you have any questions about the lodging, please feel free to contact me and I’ll do my best to have an answer for you. In the meantime, take care and tight lines.

Yeah that’s why I was asking where everyone is going to stay. I’m going to stay in the same Hotel as Ed and Lupe ’cause it wouldn’t be a good idea to drive from there

Just made our reservation for Friday and Saturday night at the Shadow Run Motel. At this time he has 14 more rooms, some singles, some doubles, and some with 3 beds in them. The apple pie will be in supply for this weekend!!!

    I remember two things…

    1) How wonderful the food was at the VF

    2) Learning how not to greet someone on the ice.
