    I went out this morning and was doing ok with some perch when this guy hit my buckshot. He hit it so hard it almost ripped my rod out of my hand.

    It took about 5 minutes and I ended up breaking the cork end off my 13 Fishing wicked ice rod but it was really fun.

    I was eating my lunch in my eskimo yesterday during the down time at my fishing spot, all of a sudden I heard a BLOOP, looked over and my bobber was gone…Set the hook and the fight was on, got what looked to be a 8-10lb northern to the hole 3 times and then he took one last run and snapped my line …I replaced every reel with shimanos except one and guess what rod he hit of course the crappy reel lol…lesson learned there is now a shimano on that rod too..
