Okay, I decided this year was going to be a year of the panfish prior to ice forming on the big lake bay and moving over to that. No chasing pike and little chasing of walleye. I’m starting to use more and more little jigs and plastics. While I have the jigs organized fairly well, my plastics are a bit disorganized. What are you folks using to store your plastics?

The new clam medium tackle box is nice because the entire things is 16 different trays with a flip open cover and sealed from water. I’ve got all my panfish plastics in one little container including the CJS plastics, bloodworms, the new impulse plastics, and some of the smaller gulp plastics all fit in very well.

    Any curling with the ziplocks?

Yeah, it depends on the size of your compartments in your tackle box and how many assortments of size and color you have. For my open water river plastics I just have a large wide open box with many ziploc bags stuffed in there.

I will have to respectfully disagree with the ziplock form of storing plastics. I use plano 6-8 compartment boxes which are relatively small. I use them because A.) it is easier to sort my plastics (by color) in one box which allows me to quickly grab the color of plastic I’m looking for because they aren’t found in multiple bags or all the different colors are in a single bag. B.) It is easy to open in freezing temps. C.) It stores extremely easily in my ice armor suit. D.) The hard plastic boxes are much more durable, I previously used bags but I ripped a couple of them and my plastics were all over in my pockets and on the ice. Just my personal preference based on my experience. Hope this helps.
