For those of you who always wonder on where to go out of or who to talk to on going up, I can honestly without any problem is Rodgers hands down. Everyone there is more than willing to help and point you in the right direction. Even if they are swamped in the store they will answer your questions and not be rushed. If you’re looking to book someplace, Outdoor Authority that operates out of Rodgers is GREAT!!!! Call them up and talk to Danny at (763) 244-7915. He WILL get you on fish. Now I brought my own rig the last couple years and he has both time put me and my family on fish and made it a great experience for all. This last time my battery in my truck went dead so I gave him a call and out he came and stayed until it started. When I tried to give him something for helping he just said “I might need a jump someday.” Danny is a vet and it shows on how he treats people. SO fishing….. Was great as I said. We kept our limit to bring back and eat some as well on the lake. Most were 17 ½” to 19 ¾” with the biggest being almost 24”. Almost all the bigger ones were caught on the Dead Stick. Seems a plain hook or a Demon in White/ Pink or all pink were the biggest hitters.
