Strike Lite bogs down under load.

I’ve got the original strike lite, with the 4 stroke Robin engine. The thing has been awesome for me for 4-5 years, but this year it’s been bogging down when I give it a little gas –unable to cut a hole.

I noticed that my fuel lines were dried out and cracked. I thought that was the culprit. So I replaced them with some gas line I got at my hardware store.

But I was out yesterday, and it is still bogging down when I give it gas. Its almost like it is starved for gas. Could my gas lines be too small, or might my carb be gummed up, or could it be the filter at the end of the gas line?

I’m just lost on what to look at next, and hoping someone can give me some advice as my week is going to be far too busy to get out to D Rock.

If your fuel line was dry and you ran fuel through it without replacing first, you shot a bunch of rubber flakes into your carb unless it was caught by the filter. Check the filter, if its clean then its good to go. You will likely need to clean the carb either way.
