Otter Cover Question

I bought an cover for my Otter Wild from a fleet store the other day. Picking the right size was confusing and needed the help of two employees. After getting home I gave up the first attempt and assumed the one I have is too small. On the second attempt I barely squeezed it on and still wonder if its the right size. The package is labeled: 0-1330 Otter Pro & Otter Wild Medium Cover.

    Anyone else have this experience?

As far as I know the cover size matches the sled size. For example I run Otter Cabins. They use a medium sled, so I use a medium cover. They work great for keeping your gear dry. Hope this helps!

It seems that it is made for sled size. Do they consider the bars and canvas it must go over or was I supposed to buy a size bigger?

They are tought to get on. Keep in mind that the covers are made to stay on while towing.

very tight fit. put one corner on and kind of walk around sled stretching it out. If canvas is bunched up between the bars of shelter it won’t fit well.

My cover fits great……not hard to get on at all and snug enough that it doesnt fly off.

Otter makes two different covers – one for the fish house shelter – and one for just the sled. The number you listed 1330 is just for the sled, so essentially it’s not made for the shelter.

You need to find the shelter cover with number 1830.

should not be that tough to get on, the cover should go over the poles, tent material, and snug up under the lip of the sled. Is it made by Otter ? I ask because the first cover I bought for my Ice Lodge was a knock off and promptly went back, the store I bought it at did not tell me it was a knock off.

Sounds like a winner. I’ll need to exchange. Hopefully they take back without reciept or I am toast.

Next question. Do any stores carry them? Shipping charge is steep from Otter and the store I bought mine is 130 miles away. Not even sure they had the right one.

Gander states ships from vendor in 15 days – I purchased mine through them and it was on my doorstep within 5 days, but that was before the season started so they may be a bit of a gamble.

Thank you. I’ll see what L&M will do about the return. Of course I threw the receipt away but its in the package just like it came off the shelf.
