Did okay on perch & gills. Perch are relatively easy to catch if you figure out the double WW’s. What to use. Where to look. Gills are even easier. Pretty much anything that has a hook tipped with a waxie, spike, or piece of trout worm will put a bend in the ole rod. Overall size I was catching is nothing to get all too excited about. Respectable eaters with a little sorting involved.
I had 4 inches of solid ice in most holes I punched in various back water sloughs. Definately enough ice to walk on without holding your breath with every step but I’d still be a little leary with ATV’s.
