VX-1 Pro Transducer

Not expecting much, but I was wondering if anyone on this board had an extra VX-1 transducer lying around that they’d be willing to sell me? I am just looking for something a little cheaper than sticking $85 more dollars into a flasher that I bought less than a year ago and am going on a trip to LOTW on the 7th and absolutely cannot go without a flasher. Any help would be great. Reply hear or PM I don’t care!

Ouch. How did it break? Still under warranty? Maybe talk to marcum about it, see if they can do anything.. maybe a discount on a new one, one off a returned unit. Worth it to check and see. Marcum is a pretty good company, even if you bought the unit second hand they will probably work with you.

The problem is, the vx-1 uses a different connector than the rest so replacement ducers are not exactly in great supply.

It just freaked out while in use. I think water may have gotten inside because I certainly didn’t beat it around. Now the ‘ducer is really quiet and doesn’t even show a reading. I would contact Marcum, but unfortunately they are out of the office until after the 2nd. Pretty frustrating. I bought it brand new so it better be under warranty… if I have to stick 85 more bucks in it, I’d have been better off buying the LX-3 a year ago….

A couple people have been able to get through to them, maybe they are just busy and have the out of town response as the automated response when nobody is available.

Yeah no answer… Hoping to pull off a miracle and be able to get this baby fixed by the 7th!

I had my VX-1 Pro transducer also fail after one full season. I am now waiting for a reply from Marcum to see what my options are.

I wonder if they have a bad batch? Pretty frustrated with the whole ordeal. Not being able to get a hold of them until 4 days before I leave for a trip makes my options pretty limited… I am sure I am going to have to buy one.

    Alex,,,,

Stop by their office on your way thru the cities… I’ll bet they fix you up in no time !!!

Or call them… Priority mail will have it at your door step before the 7th when you leave

I appreciate it, let’s hope it doesn’t have to come to that! I think I am just impatient having to wait until the 2nd to talk to somebody! Of course something has to go wrong right before my big trip to make preparing even more hectic!

I am currently using the transducer off a Gander Mountain GSX that was made by Marcum.

Just curious, you ever get it straightened out?

    Hope so.

Yep. It wasn’t the ducer I had motor problems internally… don’t know how or why, but I sent it in to MarCum and had it back in about a week’s time. Pretty happy to be back in business!
