Last year I purchased three tipdowns from our fellow IDO’er, IceNutz. I can say that they work wonderfully and kept me on my toes yesterday on the ice. He has them all rigged and ready to go. Just add minnow. They are a great quality and very effective.

I don’t really know the guy too well, but if you are looking, give IceNutz a PM. He’ll set you up.

I got mine from him too. Constant performers. Don’t even get to jig much now

Shoot. The secret is out. They just work. And if you are in the right place at the right time you can’t keep up.

Thanks for the kind words guys, they will many times catch fish when jigging is not producing. Plus it allows us WI guys 2 extra lines in the water and something to watch during those slow times.

Two years ago late ice my son and I were setup on a hot Crappie bite, we were catching and releasing 12-13″ Crappies left and right. The guys jigging kept moving closer and still could only catch 1 to our 5 or 6 fish.

What a fun memorable day that was, I went back the following day and caught and released 67 Crappies in just over 2 hours. All I could do to keep up with 3 Tip Downs. Ran out of minnows so I went home!!!!

What I really like about them is when I get my Grand kids out fishing. All they have to do is run grab the rod and back away from the hole until the fish comes out. They tend to loose a few this way but they sure have fun.

Thanks again for your comments, hope to get out fishing with you soon Big Pike.

I just got in from a great perch bite. 7-1 tipdown vs. jigging. Kept 7 nice ones. 10-12 inches. One small one that had hook-in-mouth disease. He’ll eat just fine though.

Charlie, I am back from the out laws and am ready to fish. My auger is leaking gas but other then that things are looking good. I am thinking about checking out Dells Pond tomorrow and my bro and nephew are coming in for the weekend for more fishing …..

Where do you fish on the Pond, was always going to try it. I see someone always fishes the very south end in the winter. I think there is a hump there.

Actually I just drove past there and there people out on it!!!!

If anyone is interested in Tip Downs I do have a posting in the Classifieds for them. Right now I’m a little behind on orders but should be caught up and ahead of the game next week.
