with temps the past few days we have started to get some ice on the ponds I took the liberty of checking a few of them and most have around 2″ of rock solid clear stuff. these are small ponds around 5 acres or so. also not very deep. however with the forecast being colder throughout the week i’m sure we will have some hard stuff to walk on by the weekend. I know there’s a few guys on here from the area just wondering if you have checked any of the ponds or lakes in the area. I know willow slough is shallow just wondering if anyone has been out to check it yet. Or if anyone has checked and of the Mazonia area lakes. It’s looking Good for ice down here in Illinois
