VX-1 Pro Problem

I am having a little trouble figuring out what’s going on with my VX-1. While fishing yesterday the unit started out working fine, all of the sudden my screen scrambled and started flashing erratically. The flasher now shows 3 flashing red marks, which I can move with the interference rejection. I assumed my battery was low or didn’t get a good charge, but I plugged it in before I went and charged it last night and it didn’t solve the problem. The unit is only 1 year old, and the battery was charged every month or so overnight during the summer. I have a hard time believing my battery is shot already. Also after this happened I had to turn my gain a little higher to mark my jig, but it still marks fish and my jig. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Mine did that last year at the end of the season. I called Marcum, my brother dropped the unit off on his lunchbreak and sat in the parking lot,20 minutes later they brought the unit out to his car.It works great this year,so far.

I don’t think it’s the ducer as it does the same thing when the transducer is unplugged…

I see that picture was in the house, I take it that this happens in the water also?

Yes sir… I’m sure I’ll have to send it in. A big thanks to ecnook for hooking me up with an LX-5 to keep on the ice for the time being!

Oh no worries. You didn’t miss much, tried 3 different areas with minimal success. Also brought the VX-1 with me to play with, and I am almost sure it is in fact a bad transducer…
