Nils Power Point – Yes or No???

    For the people that have experience with the Nils power augers, do you need the power point? I’m looking at the 8″ model. More than likely I’ll rarely use the manual handle. Thanks.

    No you do not. Mine has the Point and the next bit will not. Its just something you have to be carefull with.

    My power auger drill has the power point. I’ve been told by Frank that it could be a point if failure if the head/blades get bunged. If I had to do it again, I would probably get non-power point to lessen potential chances of problems. Running the Nils manually, I wouldn’t even think to get a power point. My 6″ Nils auger (manual) doesn’t have one and I love it for thinner ice.
