First time out this ice season

    Got out on Lake Winnipeg on Saturday and had a great day, ice conditions are not the best but manageable.

    Nice Walleyes Would have thought ice conditions would be better being so far North.

    Thinking about making a March trip up there myself.

    ice was 16″ where I was on the west side, lots of frazzel ice and there is a good size pressure ridge there. On the east side conditions are worse, two pressure ridges of good size, really have to pick your spots. We had some major winds when ice was setting up. Hope you make it up (it’s worth the trip) and good fishing.
