    Punched holes thru 3″ of ice and 2″ of slush Saturday on Litte Round.
    We had a few flags and only one small pike to hand.The precip never turned over to snow Saturday nite and there was just as much slush today. With all the extra weight on the ice we were too nervous to walk out very far today. We saw a few guys fishing Round lake as well as Bass lake. The good news is there isnt any snow on the ice. 14 day forecast is looking good for nw wi.

    Thanks for posting the update. It was this weekend last year that they opened the snowmobile trail and I started fishing on Grindstone. Sounds like things are a little behind this year. I hope there is better ice by New Year’s weekend.

    Good deal the weather got back on track last night here in the northwoods sconni after all the rain.
