Otter Cottage or Cabin??

So im buying an Otter Wild house this year, I am just collecting ideas on if I should go with the Cottage or the Cabin. I usually fish with other people but I also usually pull my gear out by hand. Just wondering if the Cabin is going to be to much to haddle and if it is worth the extra $100…? Thanks.

For pulling out by hand I would go with the cottage no doubt. However for the needed room of fishing for two, and the little extra weight the Cabin makes sence to me.

Go with the Cabin You will like the extra room I owned a cottage before going to the cabin wish I would of done that first! Happy Fishing

If you have a machine to pull it get an Otter Lodge. They really have a lot of room . I just bought one so I have enough room for all my grandsons.

Cabin for sure. I pull my cabin out by man power every time. With some rope strung through the hitch holes on the front and the rope worn across your shoulder/chest you can pull the house easy. Unless theres a ft of foot of snow then its tough no matter what. These sleds pull much easier then anything else out there! Plus since you fish with others the extra room will be very nice! Good Luck

I have been back and forth from the Cabin/Cottage..

I have owned 2-one man Otters and I am on my 3rd 2 man.. I just put together a Cottage and I think that I am done jumping around.. Go for the room !!!

I pull my Cabin sometimes and for the 15lb difference between the two i would go with the cabin. I really cant tell the difference when i drag it back in with over 15lbs of fish in it.

I agree with this. I have an otter Den (cottage on the narrower sled), and am looking to upgrade to the Cabin.

Although its got plenty of room for me and my gear, it can get a little tight when I go up to LOW and have to pull a little more out for the day. Or when I want to fish with another person (I’ll fish in the Den with my wife — but thats it).

If you look at the weight, the Cabin weighs a bit more, but its not going to be substaintially more unmanagable than the cottage. Now if you were talking lodge vs cottage, its a different story.

Haha! Ya, the bench spoiled me. If I could only dye the canvas from purple to green and gold…
