Well, I pulled the trigger and purchased a new sportsman 500 HO and am looking for leads on the best place to purchase an auger rack holder for my Jiffy Pro 8″.

I’ve got the mad dog. It can be a bit of a pain with cold digits, but it’s solid and the auger never moves once I secure it.

    Exactly!

Cabela’s had a great pricing on them a short while ago.

I went with the Digger auger carrier and have been impressed so far. You don’t need to take your gloves off to get it out of the holder. One simple latch and your off drillin’! They are on the Northern Bright Lights site, that’s where I got mine.

I have had this auger mount on my wheeler for at least 5 ice seasons and it works great, I have changed one thing tho, I replaced those 2 velcro straps on the handle side with 1 heavy duty bungy cord, Those straps r a pain in the extreme cold.I bought a bungy that completey goes over the entire powerhead and secures very well with the holes that r already in the mount then I just pinched one end of it on the mount so it doesnt fall off, Much faster then straps!! Sorry no pics wheeler is at deer camp still…

I have 2 set up on one machine I have my otter box and my auger sheld on it. And my other polaris I spent 18 dollars on a little flat stock a a few muffler clamps and made a front mount auger rack the clamps right on to my front bumper. I’ll try to post up some pic’s later.

Purchased a Mad Dog auger rack for my new Strikemaster Honda auger… the throttle and linkage in the way, won’t work. Ended up mounting on gun rack…will have to see if it works ok without breaking.

I like the Otter shield simple easy slides right on the otter atv box, The only thing I do is run a small bungie cord on the top to keep it from floping around as I dont drive the slowest on the ice.

I used one for the past 4-5 years and it does work great. I always mounted it with bracket I made to the side of my wheeler and used some hose clamps to hold it in place. It was a pretty crude set up, but it worked. One other mod I did with it was this… the angle never changed when it was mounted, so I drilled a small hole in case there was any water in the tube. I was hoping to buy a sled this year and that’s why I got the digger, but the sled doesn’t look like it’s happening, so I thought I might as well use it! I still have my otter tube also. Here is how I used to have it mounted. The Jiffy has since been replaced with a Solo ;-)

Yup found this out the hard way myself. I bought it on sale from Cabelas online but never thought to check and see if it would work with the Strikemaster Solo pro. Well at least I only paid $20 for it.
