Ice fishing fun/challenge

So now that we have ice across most of Minnesota I was thinking of something fun to do. Access to lakes is made pretty easy these days and with thousands of lakes why not try some out.

I was thinking maybe 10 lakes in ten hours? Something that would be challenging but fun at the same time. Any other ideas on doing something similar? I think it would be fun to see if a person could catch fish on all ten lakes in that amount of time.

But aren’t you worried about AIS?

How do augers with ice frozen to them apply?

Water never was changed out this summer, nor will it be any different this winter. I also transport frozen water on my auger flight. Gross misdemeanor me

Depending on the lake, you could have 10 different sub-ecosystems within 1 lake. I would rather check them all out and know 1 lake thoroughly before moving to the next.

I think the best way to do it is get in an area with a bunch of small lakes and hop on your snowmobile or atv with portable in tow and just pop from lake to lake.

I’ve done 5 lakes in a day on snowmobile and fished multiple spots on each lake but 10 would be A LOT! I think it could make for a fun day and it’s obviously about more than just catching fish.

I,m with Randy on this one. I fish some big water and it,s impossible to cover in a week let alone a day.
