Fishing Lake Winnipeg

    I’m heading to Lake Winnipeg in March, 2nd or 3rd week. What I’m looking for is recommendations as to where to stay? Clean, comfortable, and parking for gear trailers.

    South Beach Casino and Resort is on the east side of the lake and minutes from Balsam Bay. It is right on hwy 59

    24 hour security at South Beach Casino. I would recommend making a reservation today. Lots of hockey tournaments in March as well as ice fisherman. Lodging is limited in that area!

    In order of preference and rating

    South Beach Hotel/Casino(Best)(East side)
    Selkirk Inn(South along river)
    Hwy 19 Roadhouse(West side)

    I would be surprised if you can get a single room in the those two weeks at South Beach.
