So looking at next weeks forecast its looking mighty fine in terms of making ice….but am I being too ambitious when I am thinking about planning a day trip up to northwestern WI next weekend already? Any input?

A few of us may be checking the thickness out up there this weekend if the weather allows. Not fishing just checking the ice thickness. Well maybe not fishing. And we will report.

I’m sure some of the smaller puddles should be fine. Bays in the bigger lakes. Last night had to help since the winds took a little rest. WIsh I could be out there….Good luck
Last night and into today made about an1″ of ice so I’m thinking you will be fine on smaller lakes. I will keep you posted. I live by siren wi so if there is any more Q just shoot me a pm

That’s the area I’ll be looking at. Big Round, Blake, North Twin…
Well Jake if you are a little to anxious then we both are. I am really hoping to be on the ice somewhere next weekend!
