So after feeling like a kid in the candy store at the Ice show this weekend, i was finally able to get my hands on an LX7! I cant get over all the different settings and features of this Unit! I feel like i will be using mostly the flasher and chart setting together most of the time. And with the 3.01 version already installed, this will be a fun unit to fish with this summer too.
I got to use Grant Sorensons a few times last year while fishing walleyes, and didnt want to give it back to him.
Hoping to get on some ice wednesday to see what this thing can really do on ice!

So this means no more stealing mine this winter, right?? LOL. You will love it bud! And on top of it all, that chart zoom is one pretty cool deal on the 3.01! What do ya say, tomorrow morning we break it in? I got us a good big fish crappie spot ready to go!!

Did anyone else take advantage of the crazy deals retailers like Marine General and others had on a lx-7 or 6? I worked with marine general most of the weekend and these units sold like mad fro three days straight. By sunday at noon, we were sold out of the whole stock that they brought down, and let me tell you, that was a lot of units!!

Hendo I love mine used it this last weekend to ice some wallys way up north. I generally have the vertical graph on the left side, circular center, and zoom vertical on the right. I just love how the LX-7 presents the information nice and large like a HD big screen TV. It is easy on the eyes. At night when the back light is on it is like a beacon on the water. I am anxiously looking forward to the 3.01 update. Marcum please post it soon. I am hoping that the 3.01 update provides more subtle adjustments for the sensitivity Good Luck

You’re going to be very pleased with your decision to pick up a 7… I’ve had mine for a year now and absolutely love it. The beauty of the new digital units is that they allow you to customize the screen based on situation/preference. After using it for a full season last year I’ve come to realize that I actually like my screen set up differently for different scenerios. For example when chasing walleyes I love having a chart view (black background) coupled with a vertical zoom set right to the bottom… This gives me both a zoomed in window where all the action takes place and a 30 or so second history that allows me to see exactly how fish are/have been reacting to my spoon movements. For pannies I find myself swithching to the flasher with a vertical zoom on the side as I have found that I prefer the flasher when I’m frequently moving up or down in the water column. And the best part of all is that each angler can customize their screen based on their own personal preferences
