Slender Spoon availability in the metro?

  • #1304214

    Hey guys,

Need to pick up a few more slender spoons before I head up to Red Lake next weekend and I was wondering if any store has a stock of these in the Metro area?

Just order them from them online. Save you from driving all over and sales tax.

Just an option, I know some guys like to look at them before buying. But if you’ve already seen them and know what you want, this way you don’t have to worry about the store not having something you want in stock. I placed my order on Thursday. Will let you know when they arrive at my door. They charged my card on Friday, so I’m guessing they shipped out on Friday also.

I know Gander Mountain carries them if you choose to go to a store. Thorne Bros too.

x2 with Gander. You never know how many colors they will have but chances are best this early in the season.

    Mills too.

    Justin,

Just swing by Cal’s and check out his ice box… It has always worked for me !!!

Those are a couple of my favorite colors too Cal!

I actually picked up some glow in the dark lure tape for salmon fishing this summer and I plan to experiment with some different color combinations this weekend on Red Lake.

I’m thinking a gold w/glow red tape could be a hot combo for that particular lake..

If U can find some Pink tape that seems to be a pretty good color on Red the last couple years.

I believe the Gander in Eden Prairie had a relatively limited selection every time I went last year. Same goes for gill pills.

I am ordering online from now on. It is the only way to guarantee I don’t waste gas not finding the right size/color tat I am looking for on a particular day.

Also I can take my time ordering from a computer. Jesse and Brian learned Sunday that I get a bit mesmerized in a tackle store (or Everts Bait Shop). I guess I got into that habit as a kid walking down to Holiday with $10. Decisions, decisions!

Capra’s in Blaine has quite a few yet. Most are the colors that you’d look for for Mille Lacs and Lake of the Woods.

I hit the Thorne Bros store this past Saturday as there didn’t seem to be many at the show, or I missed them, and they seemed to have a decent selection.

Depending on your travels, Swanson’s Bait in Hackensack has them. Decent selection as of Sunday morning. Reeds in Walker should be stocked up also. They seem to be always well stocked on seasonal goods. Worse case, call ahead and see if you can have some put on hold.

a also noticed the package says “as seen on midwest outdoors” Whats up with that? Did James and the IDO crew get snubbed for Midwest Outdoors?

I checked at the Lakeville GM and FF, neither had slender spoons available, so I ordered directly from the CJS site. I placed my order Sunday evening and they were sitting at my doorstep this evening (Tuesday)! Can’t beat that!
