Anybody know if there is ice in northern Wisconsin, Eagle River, Minocqua, or Three Lakes areas? Will be home next weekend and in the area wondering if there is any safe ice up there yet, thanks.

Yes, people are fishing on Little St. Germain and other area lakes.

After tomorrows 50 degrees with possible showers, that might be the end of the current ice. It is supposed to get down in the teens several nights this coming week, so it will be iffy.

I would say no as of right now. I,m over in ashland county and our lakes are starting to open back up with this warmth and wind.

I traveled from Wausau up through Land o Lakes yesterday on my way home from the ice show and the lakes that still had ice didn’t look too stable. Another degree or two and some wind probably could have opened them back up. Am betting that after today, the ice was toast.

Thanks guys, looks like I wont be on the ice anyway this weekend, had some other things come up that I have to do sat. during the day, and when I’m done, heading to the WI ice show in Rothschild which should be great. Let me know if the ice comes back though on the weekend, I’m curious if it’ll come back that quickly. Thanks again.

What is the ice report guys? Looking at Minocqua area for this weekend, heard they didn’t get that much snow.

2″-5″ of ice on the Turtle-Flambeau Flowage. Caution is still advised as there are some thin areas.
