With all the stuff to look and learn about at the Ice fishing show I wonder what your most interested in this season? Kelly and I will be down all 3 days. She has strict orders to look at all the stuff I don’t get to as I’ll be working. Hope we bring enough $$!! LOL!!

I’m going to look at fish houses. I have my eye on the Otter Wild but want to make sure there is nothing out there I like better.

I’ve got everything I need. I’m just going to be looking for the bikini ice fishing team and the beer vendor.

Like u said before there is everything and anything there but in my mind u will not find a better deal on vexilars-electronics and portable fish houses. Also u can have very good luck wheeling and dealing on ice tackle.

One of the things I always look for at the show are the seminars done by some of the best and brightest in the industry. Getting to hear from folks like Dave Genz, Jason Mitchell, Jason Durham, Nate Zelinsky for only the price of admission?!?!?!? YES, PLEASE!!!

I need new boots. My Rocky Blizzard Stalkers are garbage. Leaked after the second trip. Tore a hole just after they turned 1 year old (and I don’t ice fish a ton). So now I’d like to get either some LaCrosse Alpha Ice Kings or Muck Artic Pro’s.

Think either of those will be at the show?

In the past, JB Brandy gave out free shots. They limit it at one per person, though. I may have to bring some disguises.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen boots for sale at the show. But then again I wasn’t looking for them either.

I’ll be one less there again this and every year that it lands on opening day for 1st season paid shot gun for Deer. There is a 180’s roaming on the private property that I hunt.

I found an AWESOME deal on LaCrosse boots a few years ago.I bought 2 pair and my bro got 1,I think I saved over 50% per pair. There are deals at the show,it depends on what you are looking for…One year the hot buy was a Strikemaster suit, one it was locators.Who knows what it will be this year…

I bought my Yetti there last year so I intend to tone it down a bit this year. I will be looking at the 1 man portables as well looking to stock up on some slender spoons in a variety of colors, finishes and sizes!

I went. I saw and I conquered. To say there are not good deals there is incorrect. I picked up a few things including an Otter Wild Cabin. Didnt see any IDO folks there. I think Granrud was ducking me.

If you would own a StrikeMaster, Granrud would stop at your house to get your autograph, Mike.

Dude, I was looking and looking and looking…must have been right over top. ;-) All joking aside, it was nice to finally meet you face-to-face and hope the show was a success for you and the rest of the IDO and Ice Force Teams. I didn’t realize this show was as retail (vs. manufacture) focused and it was and it was only through monumental effort that I was able to keep my wallet in my pants for the most part. For a minute or two there, I thought an LX-6 was going to find its way home with me. Having said that I didn’t leave entirely unscathed either as I picked up a few more sticks, reels and an Otter case X-mas gift for the old man.
