Shortening camera cable.

I’ve got an Aqua View camera that’s got way to much cable. Like about 150′. I don’t know why they thought the average guy would need so much. Most of the time when I use it, I use between 10 and 20 ft. After that, it’s the Vex. I’m assuming it’s just cutting and slicing, but before I do, I thought I’d ask. I know about cutting, splicing, and sealing. Just wondering if anyone else had done it and if they had any problems. Warranty is passed.

I have tried that with no success but that don’t mean it won’t work.I bought a very cheap item from Gander Mountain that wraps up and stores your excess cable. It works out very well. Good luck.
