Marcum hits ice on Rainy Lake

    Well……I put 2 feet on the ice for the first time in the 2012/13 hardwater season. Must admit it feels good to have my feet under me on a slippery surface. Looks to be 1 1/2 inches and forming!! I expect to drop the puck next week!!

    Not any safe ice in SW Mn or NW Iowa. And with 50’s over the weekend ill be happy to be at the ice show, whining a bit too.

    That’s new ice that was formed after the snow. Most back bays have 4 inches of snow, though here at Tilson I see the ice sunk enough from the weight to help it form without “Mother Natures” blanket.
