The “new” Strikemaster

Sent an email to customer service asking about parts and such back on November 2nd. I finally got a response back today,11/13 that you have to buy parts somewhere else. That’s fine, but why almost 8 days to respond?

I remember last year you could call them and they would pick up the phone and they would solve whatever problem you had right away! Killer customer service. Why the change? Why can’t we call them anymore? Is this a new rapala change?

Could it be you’re talking apples to oranges? Email vs. phone call?

Looks to me like there’s no issue getting service by phone given a rep tracked him down and offered a direct line to call to deal with whatever issue he’s having.

I agree. With any company, a person could slip between the cracks and have a bad experience. But instead of chalking this one up, the rep got aggressive and took care of it. Thats a very good business model in my eyes.

I would agree that it’s nice that someone stepped out of the bushes in order to help correct the issue. But having to have someone provide that help after the user gets frustrated is not good business practice. The goal is to always have a happy customer and not to have to mend the relationship after it goes sour.

I just filled out their Contact Us form inquiring about the following.

    Quote:

How come Cabelas or Gander Mountain doesn’t show up as a StrikeMaster dealer when I enter 55427 in the Dealer Locator. Also, you should add a link to the Dealer Locator under the Contact Us navigation on the left. It’s kinda hidden up on the very top and doesn’t stand out well.

I received this reply in less than an hour. Someones on watch.

The dealer locator feature is under construction. The “find a dealer button” is actually a service repair center locator. It will be corrected soon. Thank you for your input; it is very appreciated and we will be sure to pass your suggestion along to the appropriate department.

Thank you, have a great day!
    Sincerely,
    StrikeMaster Customer Service

I didn’t mean to be angry or mad, I was just commenting on not being able to call direct anymore. It’s very frustrating for me because I work in the customer service industry and it seems like the only thing that matters anymore is the stock price. It was just nice calling and talking directly to them last year. I’m just sad that you cannot do that anymore. With that being said, I still love my Strikemaster Lazer Mag and will continue to be a Strikemaster fan.

    Stueben1,

Call me at 952.939.4365. I’d love to have the chance to chat with you. Just want to figure out what happened as our turn around time here at Strike Master and Rapala is excellent. Thanks and I look forward to talking with you.

Not trying to bash on a company that I have been a lifelong user and fan of but I just went out to their Web site and also was not able to locate a contact Phone #. Maybe that part of the site is under construction as well. My experience is that Once a major Corp. become involved that it is never a good thing for the customer. The quality of the Customer is usally the 1st place that the change for the worst usually shows up. Only time will tell in this case – I sure hope I can end up saying I am wrong on this one.

WHAT THE HECK AM I MISSING?

Things are changing. A representative is on line reaching out to help. HE wants to know why it took so long for a response!

Before we bury this company let’s give them a chance to fail.

I missed my afternoon 2 olive martini.

I have to be honest, its almost comical reading the responses sandwiched around the reps repeated attempts to help. Clearly it better fits the narrative if everyone ignores that fact.

Got to chat with Lucas this morning. Wow, what a cool guy. From my talking with him I can guarantee you that the high level of customer service from Strikemaster we all received in the past, is still there.

Also when it comes to high quality service from the “Ice Force”, I can tell its very, very important to them.

Great stuff Lucas and thank you again.

Glad to hear this all has been resolved . Things may have changed a bit , but one thing remains the same . Rapala has made a committment to bring the best of everything to icefishing , via Ice Force .

This includes customer service . The method may have changed , the outcome remains the same !

Now if only they’d put that number on their website…
