Newbie Ice Fisher

    I’ll be ice fishing for the first time in about 20 years this winter. I’m getting all the gear from my Grandpa who can’t get out on the ice anymore. I’m just looking for a push in the right direction as far as good ice fishing lakes in my area.

    I live in Hugo, MN so some of the lakes around me are Bald Eagle, White Bear, Centerville, Peltier, Big Marine. I’m not looking for your super secret spot, I just don’t want to waste my time fishing a “dead” lake.

    I’d go to Big Marine. Lots of different fish. Good luck.

    Bald Eagle. I used to fish it a lot. PM me and I can get you pointed in the right direction.
