What’s all in your flipover?

What’s ALL in your flip over when you head out on the ice? Obviously larger flip overs will weigh more, so this is more about how much all your gear weighs in the dead of winter, early or late ice you might not need the heater, etc..

Here’s what sits in my sled fully loaded:

    1) Otter Wild1 Flip over ice house (74 lbs)

    2) Power Auger (25 lbs)

    3) Underwater Camera (5 lbs)

    4) Showdown Troller with performance pack using AA batteries(3 lbs)

    5) Rod case,rods & tackle (15 lbs)

    6) Buddy heater & extra 1 lb tank (6 lbs)

    7) Folding shovel (1 lb)

    8) Ice Scoop & 3’x3′ Thick rubber foot mat (5 lbs)

    9) Cooler with food and beer (5 lbs)

    10) Misc gear – Tools, towels, lights, 1/2 gallon of auger gas (5 lbs)

So i’m right around 145 lbs total being very generous, probably more like 130 ish…but #9 can fluctuate alot at least it’s lighter pulling back to the truck

I’ll pull a little more weight to have a roomy flip over and not wear myself out drilling holes manually..

I have an older strikemaster and i guessed on the weight, it doesn’t seem like more than 15 lbs, but i’m sure it is, just not sure of exact weight so I changed it to 25 lbs.

Don’t keep much in the flip over, too rough on the hard snow. Most everything goes on the quad, where there is suspension.

    Clam X2 – 130 lbs
heater, gas canister(s)- 10 lbs (Always enough for a cold day, and a cold overnight if stuck on the ice)
    Ice dipper(s) – 2 lbs
    Drinks – 2 lbs

The rest is on the quad. Auger, rods, tackle, jump pack, tow straps, electronics, some dry second set clothes like gloves, hat, ice pics etc.

As little as possible, especially no electronics, I’ve moved all the heavy stuff to a medium Otter Box mounted on my ATV where it can be better protected by the bike’s suspension.

My dad got me one of these propane tanks for Christmas last year.

    http://www.litecylinder.com

They are spendy but I bet my 20 lb. litecylinder weighs about a quarter of what the steel tank weighs.
