Looking at buying a new portable shack this year. Anyone have some good suggestions on what to get? Looking at getting one for two people to fit in.

How are you going to haul it? car, trlr, trk
    Size of bed on truck?
    how many uses per season?
budget? 300-1000 is the range you can expect
    wheeler, snowmobile?

What or how are you planning to get out of it?
Some key questions we need to give you a true reply.

are cup holder important? Hard to beat the Otter Team Wild Cabin with insulated top, price is good, light enough for one to throw into the truck, plenty of room for two.

Hard to disagree with Chomps even though he’s from the southern US and cant possibly know much about “ice” fishing.

I have a Otter Cabin (older model which I added refletic to the top). I load it by myself, plus have plenty of room for two. I pull it by hand most of the time. I love the Otter.

I have a Canvas Craft insulated magnum, best sled, best tent
IMHO. I’d strongly recommend going insulated, you’ll never
    regret it.

I cant say enough about the Otter Ice Lodge They are a very spacious and comfortable 2 person portable. These portables have a thermal insulated outer barrier which holds heat great very comfortable padded swivel seats which attaches to an indestructible Otter sled that has plenty of room for all of your equipment and most importantly very easy to set up and take down. These portables are also very easy to transport either by pulling them or attaching them to a snowmobile or ATV.

Sorry should of listed more questions. But I was looking for a pop up shelter. Already have a sled and the more portable the better. Plan on using it 2 or more times a week.

When im not work im fishing!

Canvas Craft single flip magnum with the Norpac insulation. Best & warmest house out there. Hands down! You will not regret buying one of their houses!

too bad they won’t be at the ice show…i didn’t see them in the exhibitors list, unless they are under a different name

Nope, I heard they were not going this year. They are trying to complete with all the companies that moved manufactoring overseas. They are still made in the USA! Nice to still know there are companies out there like them.
