Ars those tackle boxes with the separators out? Looks nice. I use jig boxes made by clam corp and do alright with those. I like this idea though. I’ll drop some blue down this winter more often to see what’s up.

Yup, works well. Keeps paint on and prevents dingy lures. Saves big $$$ over the fancy expensive boxes like Rose Creek.

I gave up stacking my spoons. The trebles stuck to the upper foam too much for my liking.

Where can someone find the closed cell foam?

I’ve been using the Clam boxes, but I’d like to get one larger box.

Any insulation or hvac shop will have it. I picked up mine out of the job site dumpster one day. They use it for insulating large duct work. Upholstery shops might be a good option as well. They always have scrap for free.

Couldn’t you glue the plastic to the bottom of the foam?

I have done it the same way for years now great way to keep all your stuff neat and mess free for the most part. Yes you can glue the plastic to the back of the foam but after by mid season it falls off from all the bending and grabing.

I found a really sweet jig box at the ice show last year, while not really a jigging spoon box I do keep a few smaller ones in it. It is double sided with clear waterproof lids, hold about 175 jigs, is lined with a dense foam that is slit to insert the hooks into. But the best thing was that it fits nicely into just about any pocket because it is just a tad bit smaller than everything else I looked at. I do not remember who I got from but it was only like $9.00 and I will be looking for a couple more at this years show.

Sweet video and great ideas on organizing your tackle. I like that idea for a big trip, multiple species, or to just stockpile and inventory your gear.

For my own fishing, I’ve actually retreated from carrying as much tackle with me in recent years. I find that I don’t miss what I didn’t prepare to bring, and that as long as I keep a smattering of offerings in my most popular colors, I’m covered. I do run the risk of not having a hot color/pattern when the fish are sold on it and only it, but I haven’t been burned too badly yet?

I’m thinking this year I’ll be employing both systems? We’ll see how organized I can stay!
