I am interested in purchasing an Ice Saw this year. Anyone out there have experience with one? Is it worth the $150 (roughly)? Do they really go for years before a resharpen?

    Thanks

I have one for beaver trapping through the ice. Great for first/last ice. 12-16″ of good solid ice will give you a work-out. I use mine for cutting the section of ice out between the ice-auger holes. Also works good for cutting existing holes larger

Own 2 of them and use them all season for spearing. Well worth $150 if you ask me. Nice square holes and a lot less work then trying to chisel!

Those of you who own them. What brand of Ice Saw?
Let’s hear some thoughts on different brands.
    Thanks,

Don’t know the brand name on mine. Picked it up at a trapping convention for $75 used. About a 36″ blade and a 40″ wooden handle that screws in and has a lock pin
