Well the cool temps and snow I am sure have got alot of guys thinking ice, eventhough there is plenty of fall left.
My son Lucas couldn’t wait to get his ice fishing fix. The picture shows him “honing” his skills in the front yard in the snow. The yellow toy, which is actually a cup for a kids golf set, is his Marcum. 
I am afraid it is going to be a long 2 months for him waiting for ice!
thats awesome when i was a young kid i used to always go fishing in the front yard too. i would have a sled as my boat and just fish all over the yard. 
Definetly his fathers son !
My wife was mad when I brought my tackle inside yesterday. I told her it was to see what I needed to she could put it on her Christmas list. In all reality I just wanted to look at it. Come on cold.
Well I’m not exactly ready, but since the water line to the camper was froze this morning…I better get my butt in gear!!

Brian, we ice fishing this year? And by we I mean us, not just you.
I’m not sure if I will be. When I say I, I mean me and not you.
I do want to spend some time on the wet water river with some bait and a Marcum, but I have this growing urge to fish Lake Pepin. Not sure why, might just be the mystic of the river calling me.
I’ll be working at Everts this winter starting in Nov. Hope to see many friends back. Kinda lost out on last year.
