Just was thinking about putting my Lowrance elite in some sort of case and using the gps and lake master chip for ice fishing my Rhino 530 works but the lake maps on this unit are poor to say the least. Just curious how other people set theirs up any pictures would be great I might make something out of wood to hold the unit and battery
I have a vex pro pack for my HDS-5 to use as GPS…
They already have it setup for you!! I’d take this over a LX-9 any day of the week. But then again I don’t go fishing without my Vexilar!!

This is what I did. Used a old Vex box and gimble mount, added some rod holders and a 10 amp. battery.Works great for hole hopping and I can plug in the strip light in my one man.
How do those units fair in the sub zero weather?
Have not used mine below -10, but seems to work ok. Just don’t let them sit out in the back of your pickup over night.
