Just about done packing for the trip to Winnipeg. I was on Fish Lake near Duluth today. MAN was that a sloppy mess. Oh well. Sounds like the greenbacks are going well so hopefully we can send the 2012 ice season out with a bang!

Apparently it is not over. My brother found 12″ of ice on a East Central Minnesota lake. 
Was out Thursday near Emily, plenty of ice and shoreline access wasn’t an issue either. Big crappies and gills were in 4′ of water and weeds but SPOOKY! Instead of the no-look pass, we were practicing the no-look jigging stroke. The pig gills especially would swim to the edge of the hole and if they saw you at all, they’d turn inside-out to getaway.
Last ice of the year this week I’m guessing, so we’ll be out using it up!
