I got rid of my Lacrosse Ice Kings. They are a great boot but way to heavy. I’m looking at the Baffin Polar series. I’m a diabetic so keeping my feet warm is a must. What are you guys wearing these days?

Lacrosse ALPHA Ice Kings. Lighter than the original. Best boots I’ve ever worn. As for weight… I wear a size 14. They’re all too heavy.

Both my wife and I have Baffin boots, we always had cold feet when ice fishing but since we bought these we have not had more than chilly feet after being on the ice all day.

My wife has terrible circulation and no matter what we’ve tried before (warmers, socks, multiple boots etc.) her feet have always gotten cold. She went to Scheels this winter and found a pair of Baffins on sale and talked with a salesperson and another customer who actually appeared to know their stuff. Needless to say, she owns them now and they have been fantastic. No other boot compares in her mind!

I won’t buy another boot. And quite frankly, I may not have to. These are the best boots I have ever owned. The warmth is incredible. I’ve had mine for at leat 8 years and haven’t thought about looking for another boot. I’ve got a leather boot and all I have to do is protect them every couple years and they look as good as new.

I’ve had other boots where some of the hook eyelets break and bend over time (as little as a year), not these. They look like the day I bought them.

Does anybody know where Baffin Boots are sold around the twin cities? I checked Scheels web site and they didn’t have them listed.

    Thanks!

Hopefully Baffin is made in the US, Lacrosse decided to move production to Mexico…

Baffin is made in Canada. I believe my buddy got his from Cabelas.

Scheels website is junk- very little of actual inventory is found there. I would call them and ask if they’ve got Baffins in stock.

Baffins Rock. They are the warmest boots period! I bought my first pair this year. They are way lighter and warmer than any Lacrosse or Sorels I have ever owned.

You guys who have them…did you get the Polar or Winter boots? There is a significant price difference…

take a look at the Muck line of boots. i am in the second year of use on a pair of the wetland series and i really like them. they are rated to -20 and have not had cold feet so far. the woody max series are rated to -40 i beleave. they are water proof, period, the only time my feet got wet was when i was in water up past my knees. the soles have alot of tread left, and i ware these boots late summer through late spring. easy on and off, no strings to tie. i will be buying another pair when these go bad. at least check them out and try on a pair and see what you think. wetlands are about $150 and the woody max are about $180

I’ve had cold feet issues forever, but I hated lugging around a heavy boot.

A friend of mine picked up a pair of Steger Camucks a couple years ago, and he absolutely swore up and down about these. I thought he’d never give up the bunny boots…

I needed new boots so I bought Camuck Extremes this year, and every day I wear them I feel this was the best purchase I’ve ever made. They are so incredibly light and warm. I’ve hiked many miles. My back thanks me too..no more back aches standing and walking all day. Something to consider.
