Looking for a place not to far away from Rochester to take my son while he is on spring break next week. How is the ice around the Cities? Any sugestions for some panfish? Have never fished the area before but would like to try and get one more trip in this so called winter. I don’t think the ice around Rochester will be to good after all the rain. Thanks for any info.

I’m thinking the same thing, Chuck. I haven’t heard anything except the post about Prior Lake aa while ago. My sources have given up on winter already! Oh, well. I will keep an ear out. Good luck. Ed

That rain sure put a damper on the ice down here. Was planning on going out with my son next week but don’t know where to go now. I saw that post from Prior Lake too but was before the storm. Well if you hear anything let me know.
    Thanks, Chuck

Looks like on their web site they don’t open until March 23. Would have been fun.

I drove by Marion in Lakeville today, lots of open water around shores. The DNR blocked the entrance, and put “Danger Open Water” signs by the landing.
