dead stick rod

    Was wondering what action is good for a dead stick rod? I have a spare ultra light and thought I would use it to dead stick walleyes! I this to light of and action?

    IMO you’d be too light, ML would be as light as I would go.

    Your dead stick doesn’t have to be any fantasy. But I would go alittle stiffer to get a good hook set.

    I’ve got a HT med lt for $11 that I use for small jigs for pannies thats supposed to be a dead stick rod. Really fine tip, no need for a spring bobber. It stiffens right up about 5-6 inches from the tip. Good hook sets. I got a 2.5 lb sauger with no problem. My favorite rod
