    Dang! That’s a pretty darn impressive catch. I’ve caught them 10, maybe 12 lbs and they’ve put up an amazing fight. I would imagine that guy had his hands full.

    Can you imagine pulling that out of an 8 inch hole and having it wrap around your whole body.

    I personally think theyre a cool fish with the different colors but that thing is gross…Anyway nice catch

    Matt Bruer of North Country Guide Service in Bemidji reported elsewhere that it was from Lake of the Woods. The paper dispenser is from the Bemidji Pioneer, but I don’t know of anyplace currently in Bemidji with the banners, etc. that are in the background in the photo. Suspect it might be the place on the south side of the main drag in Baudette if its a LOTW fish. Quite a haul in any case. Congrats to Guthrie!
