I’ve been fielding a lot of questions considering our ice conditions as of late. Though much of the state and southern friends continue to experience the effects of the “Winter that wasn’t” we are in great shape. We’re measuring a good 24 inches of gin clear ice and now have ample snowcover to protect it. In travels yesterday we were burning through a good 15-18 inches of powder snow and are predicted to get another 5+ on Sunday. Fishing for Walleyes has slowed from reports I’ve been receiving while our Crappie fishing adventures have been great. Just a reminder that we are able to fish Walleyes through the ice until the middle of April and it is normal to be 2 feet on the hardwater at least through March.
