Finnicky slabs

    Got these girls yesterday fishing a backwater in 7 ft. Most effective presentation was to stick your face down the hole and handline them. A very tight wiggle would bring them in, but the bite was so light that you couldnt feel it using the rod and reel. Small plastics were the key. Ended up with a limit of slabs over 10 inches. Pretty good morning.

    I made it back to Scotch last weekend. Did well for perch and slimers, but kept losing every eye at the hole.

    Having moved to ND…………I miss fishing crappies. Nice Catch, now get them in your belly!
