    Hi Guys,

If any of you have a Marcum VS380, would you mind snapping a picture of the plug/connector attached to the camera cable, and posting it here in the thread? I’m trying to create an adapter for using it with a portable LCD screen, but my unit is in storage until Monday. Thanks for any help!

Edit: If I remember right, I think it looks like this, but maybe with a right-angle connector?

On cell phone. Search YouTube for idacatguides. Look for the marcum how to video.

    Hi Brian,

I’m not actually trying to use the video-out port on the back of the TV-type display. What I’m trying to do is do-away with the heavy TV-type display that comes with the 380, and instead connect the camera to an aftermarket LCD display, something like what your kids might use to watch DVD’s in the car. In effect, making it into a MarCum 820.

I believe the connector is a 4-pin, two of which are likely used to supply 12V power to the camera, and other two for the composite video signal. However, if I could see the actual connector, that would help.

Hi Brian, I see this is a very old post I’m warming up. My brother-in-law has a VS380 that has a new battery but nothing turns on… no lights, screen flicker… nothing… I don’t see any blown fuses… any ideas? He is wondering if he could find a LCD screen to replace the apparently dead CRT…
