My 1st TB rod. Looking for real world on what you guys use.
I know it will be 26″ or 27″ with a 5″ cork handle and alcoide guids, I just can not decide on a blank. I will be using it for crappies, walleye and perch. It will be my go to jigging rod. I fish out of my Otter Cabin and do fish outside on warmer days.

I would go with the rod type for the species you fish more for. Such as a perch sweetheart is perfect for perch and walleye, however the quiverstik is perfect for crappies, good for perch and can be an absolute blast to catch walleyes however its a lighter rod and may be a bit light to handle walleyes consistently.

I will suggest a quiverstik or perch sweetheart. The quiverstik is a great rod for crappies and perch and also has enough backbone to land any walleye. The perch sweetheart might be a little too stiff for crappie fishing. I love helping other people spend their money. I will be up at Mille Lacs the next 3 weekends if you around and would like to try each one.

Tough to cover all those bases with one rod. I bought a 30″
Quiver stick this winter,,, you’d have a hard time gettin’ it
    away from me!

Then again, you can’t go wrong getting both a perch and a panfish sweetheart rods like myself!

if you want a noodle, it may be ready by the time next ice season rolls around.

I read on Thorne Bros. forum that Matt heard some material was possibly headed there way to make the noodles. It was posted on the 1st of February. Praying to see mine yet this season.

These 2 rods were the 2 I was thinking about. May have to buy 2

I fish mostly walleye so I ordered the walleye sweetheart with outside guides. I like the rod but must not have the outside guides because they are quite small and freeze up easily. It is fairly stiff and I think a perch sweetheart might have been a better option. Maybe next year.

Just bought my perch one this week, haven’t gotten the chance to try it out yet, but the panfish rod is UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I would go with the perch sweetheart it will handle the eyes and perch just perfectly. Its a little heavy for light crappie jigs but it can work. As many have said the quiverstick is a good option. Or you can look into the panfish sweetheart option as well. Call Thorne Bros and talk to Lonnie or Matt and they will set you up with the blank your looking for.

I would get both, but just be carefull because there rods are addicting. I think I just picked up my 8th rod of the year a 54″ custom perch rod.

I use my perch sweetheart more for walleye than perch. It is a bit on the light side for walleye, but it works when spoons are under 1/8 oz. The walleye sweetheart seems a bit much for most of the jigs I fish with. Again, it works, but is a bit more than I wanted. I just received a custom from them a couple weeks ago, which is a perch sweetheart blank with the tip cut off. It pretty much fits right in between the perch sweetheart and the walleye sweetheart stiffness wise, and I absolutely love it. It was exactly what I was looking for, and thanks to Matt at TB for suggesting that.
