In an attempt to stick a few eyes I ended up catching four crappies a pike and a perch off blades today. That was a first for me. Anyone else stumble upon this yet? The crappies were nice too. 12 +

Pike are frequent, and often unwelcome visitors. Red Tiger is an awesome color for eyes in stained water, but it’s hard to use the thing when pike are around. On places like Upper Red Lake I’ll use tygerwire or some other type of tie-able leader material to fish them.

My experience with Perch has been that they typically shy away from it quite a bit…..saunter up then dart away when it does something they don’t like.

Interesting to hear about the crappies. The only time I’ve caught more than one of them is on the river, and like you said, all of them were good fish. Great to hear it, they’re phenomenal ice fishing baits!

same here. Pretty much any predator fish will eat them when presented in the right way.
