Despite the constant ups and down of this NY ice season we’ve been able to make our time on the ice count. The bite is the only thing that has remained consistent over the past couple weeks, the ice has been everything but, going from 3″ – 7″ – 8″ back to 4″-5″.
Most fishing has been confined to the ends of the lake with the middle either being still open or just skim ice. Its been good and bad. Bad, because we haven’t been able to reach that off shore structure we normally like to fish this time of year due to ice conditions, but good because we have further examined the areas we normally overlook and stayed on fish which has been a good confidence builder.
All fish came on raps and slender spoons
