So what is the verdict on 832 as far as ice up while fishing outside? I really like how it comes off the real but dont like how the braids freeze up.

As far as I have seen when it is new it will repel much more water than power pro. I had them on 2 reels side by by side on the same day last year and rarely had to clean the eyes on the suffix rod. The reels I have had it on for 2 years now seem to soak up as much water as all of my other braided lines do. If you respool with new line every year it will be great

I used it for the first time yesterday and I noticed that it didn’t seem to hod near as much water as my fireline spool. It didn’t get cold enough to find out if it would freeze or not.

If you give a spray of Reel Magic, it will repel even more water. I tried a spool of it out down here on lake MI for browns/steelhead and its holding up very well. Its a lot tighter and retains a much more round characteristic.

Great line for winter long rodding, hands down far and away out perfoms fireline!
