Lupe and I finally made it to Volga this morning, we have about 2″ of crap ice, on top of 2″ of water, on top of 8″ of good ice! We didn’t go very far from the ramp since I was pulling the sled through the snow. Lupe caught a couple 4″ gills while I hit the trifecta, some 4 to 5 inch gills, a 6″ crappie, and a 4″ perch. It was fun catching the fish and learning to use my LX-7. Planning on hitting our pond we have permission to fish Thur.
