    my son vx-1 reads 0 but not the bottom its a old one in gary case its been good unit. I was thinking transducer im I thinking right thanks

    Sounds like it but the best way to be sure is to find another VX-1 near by and swap ducers. It doesn’t need to be in the water to see if you have a bad one.

    The reason I say check the ducer first is because 80+% of all sonar problems are battery related.

    Thank you I have a new battery I will try that frist. early release day wednesday and the kid want to fish Cant say no to that.

    Sounds like battery issues.

    I have 2 VX-1’s in Menomonie…let me know if you want to try swapping transducers. I’ll probably be out with the kids sometime and somewhere Wed afternoon as well.
