Anyone have the underwater camera made by Vexilar or Marcum (625 or 825)? Is one better than the other? What do you think of them if you own one or the other? Fleet Farm has them on sale and i’m thinking of picking one up but not sure which one to get.
    Thanks, Bob

This was from the VS-825sd a couple weeks ago when Jesse and I were running around the P-4 scour hole.

Note the 67.5 foot depth and how clear the water is.

Between the 825 and 625, there’s a lot of personal preference involved, but if you’re going to be a distance away from the monitor I would have to recommend the larger version. Just like a TV, bigger is better further away.

You’re best bet is to go to the store and compare brands side by side. What you’ll find on some cameras is they’ll take a 6 inch picture and stretch it to the 7″ monitor.

Side by side in the store, you see the MarCum picture will be clearer further away then any camera on the market today.

But don’t take my word for it. Check it out yourself.

This one always gets Jesse wound up. He says it’s the John Conley music, but we all know it’s the sheepies.

My favorite is this gar fish video.

PS turn down your sound if you don’t like the music. LOL!

About half way through this video it turns from channel cats to wintering flatheads.

For clarity, the DarkWater Technology and made right here in New Hope USA…yeah, “MarCum all the way!”.

I love my Marcum 625SD so far. I have had a chance to use all the major brands and Marcum blows them out of the water. Yes marcum costs more but its worth the extra money. I bought mine at reed’s 2 weeks ago for $440.00 and I believe they are still on sale

That’s my nick name among others Palolo!

I don’t recall the name of the tunes. More than likely the toothpicks were bending by the time I was adding music.

The flats in the last video would have been in 25-26 fow…sleeping for the winter.
