Trying to get a couple dozen from work for a gathering on Rush lake by Cambridge, at the end of January, what’s the odds the ice will be thick enough to drive pick up trucks on the lake by then?

    TIA

With the way this year is going, that questions is about as crazy as asking if the fish will be biting.

I have heard there have been a few brave soles driving their truck on the ice already.

I get out maybe once a year to ice fish, so I haven’t a clue how much ice Rush has now, with the warm weather I figured I’d better ask.

Not so concerned with where they’re biting at, we get together and fire up the grill and just bs for an afternoon..:)

Just came off the lake a couple hours ago. I found 11-13 in of ice everywhere I went and the ice there is still nice and clear ice. There was lots of cars today anda few pickups driving around. With the cold temps this week the lake should be sitting pretty well by next weekend

We fish a little lake south of Rush on saturday. I would guess a good 10″ to 12″s in the holes we drilled. No one was driving out yet. There was 4 wheeler traffic and a couple of them where working on pulling a fish house out that had fell threw.
