woundering what ice conditions are like in twin cities area havnt spent much time down here with all this warm weather been northern mn the past two weekends, looking to hit the chisago area and green lake in princton this weekend. 
I was on Coon Lake Saturday. Ice was 6-8″ everywhere I was on the ice.
wow thats so crazy 6 -8 inches in january should be 14 inches min by now in this area 
I was on an east metro lake yesterday found 8 inches in more the main lake area.
We were on Bald Eagle this Sunday. 8″ plus or minus. Though I am curious what has happened after this week of 50+ degree days and not freezing over night.
White Bear still had 7-8 inches off of Belaire. Someone put a car in the lake to the east of the beach about half a mile driving out from the next beach/marina to the east of Belaire last night.
was out on a smaller lake in the NW metro the last two days. Found about 6-8 inches. I was told by the local bait shop there were thin spots out there. We didnt run into any but its still a little uneasy going out to fish especially with the days being well above freezing lately

I saw that spot today while driving around wow they were stupid..
I found out there one big pressure ridge in the main lake to stay away from. Also I herd of an Ice boat going through some where by the island and I think they tried to go across the pressure ridge..
